About Charlotte Electrical J.A.T.C.
The Charlotte Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee administers the world-class apprenticeship training and education programs for the region’s union inside electrical industry through a unique collaboration of labor – International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Union Local 379 – and management – Atlantic Coast Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
Together, the I.B.E.W. and NECA work to:
-
Completely fund the C.E.J.A.T.C. programs;
-
Recruit qualified apprentice candidates;
-
Provide “upgrade training” the journeyman electricians;
-
Supply facilities and materials to the program;
-
Supply on-the-job training work opportunities for apprentices; and
-
Constantly update its curriculum and certified instructors.
Through these efforts, the C.E.J.A.T.C. applies the strict training standards of the National Joint Electrical and Training Committee to the training of and continuing education for local union inside electricians.
In doing so, the C.E.J.A.T.C. helps ensure that UNION INSIDE ELECTRICIANS ARE SECOND TO NONE in serving the residential, civic, commercial, and industrial electrical needs of “The Queen City” region – one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the nation – Upstate South Carolina and parts of northern Georgia.
Training and classes are conducted at the state-of-the-art Charlotte Electrical Training Center in Concord, N.C. To learn more about our facility, click here.
